EUFORIA

March 2026

Sometimes, the sole purpose of departing is returning home anew.

Some people leave for leisure.

Some people leave for pleasure.

Some people leave for the thrill of travelling somewhere new.

Other people leave for the sake of knowledge. Of beauty. Of seeing things in a different perspective.

But we all leave and return home transformed. Touched by something, impressed by something.

We are not the same anymore. Any journey, no matter how small – it can be even going to the market or the café, or simply for a short walk – makes us gain new information, both about ourselves and the world.

We arrived at the seaside on a Monday afternoon. The sun was shining at Euforia, inside and outside. The smell inside the hotel was soft and breezy. Inviting. The architecture, perfectly curved, was striking. On our room’s window – the sea, overwhelmingly beautiful and real, that it almost felt like there’s no barrier between it and us.

We climbed the stairs of the hotel just to see where they would lead us. Isn’t this what travelling is about? Not knowing. Letting ourselves driven by the current. Drifted away. Swang by the ocean.

We flow. The beach is grand, yet tender. We pick up shells and feel the warmth of the sun on our skin. It’s the beginning of March, yet it could be June also. There is nothing to complain about, nothing to overthink, nothing to intrude our minds. Our hearts are right there, in the midst of peace, nowhere and everywhere at the same time – inside the “peace of wild things”, as poet Wendell Berry once said.
